Nice choice of platform for your blogging setup. I have been using WP, and developed WordPress powered sites for about 4 years, and even before when it was called b2/Cafelog, so I know how powerful and easy it can be. I am aware that your Italian compadres are also investigating a large scale WordPress roll-out as well. I'm sure that there will be some shared experiences to leverage off.
