RealNetworks settels down in Luxembourg

As the Luxembourg minister of commerce, Jeannot Krecké, announced today, RealNetworks is coming to Luxembourg and moves a big part of its IT operations to a datacenter located in Windhof, Luxembourg. A number of commercial activities will also use Luxembourg as their new homebase.

This is another good move for Luxembourg which has been investing a lot of money and diplomacy into getting global Internet businesses move to Luxembourg, where the tax rates and especially a custom-made tax law regarding intellectual property, make it very interesting for IT service companies to be based in Luxembourg.
